22:20 (REAL) 07. Apr

This is from the ODI series. Pakistan was able to win the 50-over victory 2-1. The energy now goes into the shortest form. Pakistan will also be looking to win this game, while South Africa are looking to avenge their ODI series defeat. The four-game T20I series begins on Saturday, April 10th. The first T20I starts at 14:30 local time (12:30 GMT). Make sure you're there. Until then, bye and take care!

22:14 (REAL) 07. Apr

South Africa captain Temba Bavuma is unavailable so his coach Mark Boucher supports him. Boucher says they are disappointed to have lost the series at home. Thanks to Pakistan for the way they played. He says they lost the game at the back end with the ball and says it didn't cost them the early wickets. Boucher says he set small goals for himself. He says they tried to work hard and thought spin was the best option, but concedes that they may have thrown too much. Boucher says they played well at certain stages of the game but adds that when they were bad they were very bad and Pakistan made them pay for it. He says there's a lot of positives, but right now there's a lot of frustration. Boucher says there's no excuse. He says there's still work to be done and it's never easy to lose and hopes they can put on a special performance in the T20Is. Boucher says Bavuma doesn't look well and you can see he's struggling. He adds that he is not entirely sure of his immediate future due to his injury.

22:07 (REAL) 07. Apr

Pakistani captain Babar Azam was also named Man of the Match for his impressive 94 points. Babar says it was fun today, especially after the start they gave them the lead. He says they gave him the impetus to play well. Babar says if they lost wickets he would simply tell the young batsmen that it would be better if they partnered. Kudos to Hasan Ali for the shot he played. Babar says he was surprised he was playing spin but said when he saw the wicket he knew the spinner would be used more often and they had been prepared for that. Thanks to the team for the good sum. Babar says it was a very important series as winning in South Africa gave them a lot of confidence and they want to carry that confidence into the T20I series.

22:06 (REAL) 07. Apr

For his outstanding performance with the racquet throughout the series, Fakhar Zaman was named Player of the Series. Fakhar says his plan was simple. He wanted to bowl normally for the first 10 overs. Fakhar says it's not easy to bat in the morning and the plan was to survive the first 10 overs. Fakhar says it means a lot as he hasn't scored in the last two years and it is important. I thank the governor for his trust and support. Fakharsa says he is happier to have won the series.

21:55 (REAL) 07. Apr

A very good bowling show from Pakistan. They had to make sure they got wickets at regular intervals, and they did. They never let South Africa get past the lead while slowing down with regular netting. Except for Faheem Ashraf, all five bowlers took at least one wicket. Nawaz was the first pick as he finished with a 3-fer. Rauf delivered in crucial situations and finished with two wickets. Shaheen also managed to get three. Usman and Hasan Ali got one each, but the latter was quite expensive. In the end, the bowlers' overall performances were good enough to seal the streak.

21:44 (REAL) 07. Apr

In the early evening Pakistan was drawn into battle. They reacted very well as their top 3 managed to get runs again. Fakhar continued his form and scored another goal. Imam also played well for his 57. The foundations were in place but the middle row failed. However, Babar stuck like glue and a fiery finish from the Pakistan captain and Hasan Ali managed to increase the lead to 320, a total that proved good enough to seal the streak. Keshav Maharaj was the star with the ball for South Africa as he finished with 3-Fer.

21:44 (REAL) 07. Apr

With a 321 chase, South Africa got off to a decent start as the opening round reached 50 runs. But Markram could not convert his start. Also sailing in the same boat were JJ Smuts and Temba Bavuma. Janneman Malan played a very good hand of 70 but failed to turn it into a revealing hand. At 140/5 all hope seemed lost. But Kyle Verryenne and Andile Phehlukwayo kept the hosts in the game. The pair added 108 runs, with both reaching their fifties. But that wasn't enough as both batsmen were eliminated in quick succession, sealing the game for Pakistan. Maharaj and Dupavillon made a small cameo, but it was too late.

21:43 (REAL) 07. Apr

Pakistan did the job and won the three-game ODI series 2-1. They had a lot of series against them in South Africa but they found a way to get across the finish line and seal the series.
